The reality of the business of art: most artists do not making a living at selling their work. I, along with the vast majority of the Artists at Eastern Market, are the exceptions to this rule. Because of John Harrod, his founding of Market 5 Gallery in 1974, and his development of the outside exhibition space, hundreds of artists over the years have had the opportunty to live this dream. Washington, D.C. has an active, vibrant and constantly growing arts community. Please join thirty four Eastern Market artists at ARTS ON FOOT, a wonderful juried artistic experience.
